naveen and tiana are one of my favorite disney couples (if not my favorite) because i think they compliment each other so perfectly
he’s one of the few people that can make her genuinely laugh, she keeps him grounded
he reminds her of what’s really important, reminds her not to get too carried away, and her smile makes him forget himself completely
they are each literally the best thing that’s ever happened to the other and it warms my heart so much
#and naveen’s gentle and relatively carefree nature juxtaposed with tiana’s fire and dedication#they’re like complementary colors; she keeps him humble and continually teaches him new crafts#she reminds him that he can still learn to do things for himself and that just because he grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth doesn’t mean that he can’t bust his ass in the kitchen#in HER kitchen#and that’s what’s so wonderful about them#naveen’s masculinity is never an issue; he doesn’t feel as though he needs to prove his superiority#he is willing and enthusiastic to allow tiana to take center stage and to show off her talents and to prove to everyone that someone ‘of [her] background’ can and WILL change the fucking world#and she’ll do it in her own way with her OWN DAMN MONEY#naveen can afford to build her up and to support her with his love and positivity because he is so enamored by her tenacity and her take no shit attitude#i’m rambling and this is incoherent but DAMN i love this couple (x)
